Immersive conservatory training for young artists.
VPS Academy offers full-day training in musical theatre, acting, voice, and dance for performers who are happiest on stage, a place where a love of the arts is nurtured, and every performer is seen and supported by industry professionals. Join us during the school week at our Mount Pleasant studios and theatre.
Structured, focused, and rooted in a love of the arts, VPS Academy meets each performer where they are, building skills steadily all year within a supportive community.
Conservatory training, for young artists.
VPS Academy is structured, focused, and built around a real love of the craft. Students follow a thoughtfully designed curriculum while meeting each performer where they are, so skills build steadily and confidently through the year alongside a supportive community.
The Academy runs September through June.
The Academy requires permission from your school's principal, or enrollment in a home-school or distributed learning program (VLN, SelfDesign, eBus, or similar). It's a nine-month commitment. All accepted students and guardians sign a commitment letter before enrollment.

The Academy is built for children who want to immerse themselves fully in the performing arts and dedicate themselves to more intensive, focused training.
It's a natural fit for young performers who are genuinely passionate about the performing arts and who thrive in an environment where they train with intention, grow with purpose, and pursue their craft in a committed, high-focus environment.
Because the Academy runs one full day per week, students require permission from their school principal to be excused for the day or are enrolled in homeschooling or distance learning programs (such as VLN, SelfDesign, or eBus).
VPS Academy is a full-day conservatory-style performing arts program.
Unlike drop-in or after-school classes, the Academy runs during school hours from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm and covers musical theatre, acting, vocal technique, and dance (ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop) in a single immersive day.
It is arts conservatory training built into your child's school week.
The Academy runs on Wednesdays for 1-Day students, or both Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 2-Day students, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
The season runs September through June, totaling 30 sessions across the school year.
The Monday Academic Add-On from 12:30 to 3:30 pm is available separately for families who want supervised study alongside the program.
The training is conservatory-structured, intentional, sequenced, and designed to build on itself. Every student follows the same rigorous curriculum in sequence across 30 weeks of the year.
We have our own 5,200 sq. ft. studios and theatre, so training never moves to a rented hall or community centre.
Entry is by audition and both students and guardians sign a commitment letter, which keeps the cohort focused and high-level.
The scope of disciplines is also comprehensive for this age group: musical theatre, acting, voice, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and audition preparation, all in one program.
