26/27 Year Long Dance Classes

Open enrollment dance and musical theatre classes for ages 3 to 12. Four levels, six styles, two locations across Vancouver.

Prices are for the full September to June year. Ages 5+ also perform in the VPS Nutcracker. Costume fees and tickets are not included.

Mini Stars — Ages 3–4

Our youngest independent dancers explore ballet, hip hop, tap, and musical theatre through imagination and story. Every class is designed for fun and big creativity.

Mini Ballet

Tiny dancers take their first steps into the beautiful world of ballet! Through gentle, playful exercises and imaginative movement, little ones begin building the foundations of coordination, balance, and musicality in a warm and encouraging environment.

Mini Hip Hop

Learn to move with energy and expression as young dancers discover the joy of hip hop! This fun, age-appropriate introduction covers the basics of rhythm, groove, and foundational hip hop movements in a high-energy, encouraging environment. Mini movers will build coordination and confidence while learning choreography that keeps them smiling from start to finish.

Preschool Ballet / Acro Combo

The perfect introduction to dance and movement for your little star! This magical class combines the grace of ballet with the fun of acrobatics in a playful, nurturing environment. Young dancers will learn basic ballet positions, coordination, and musicality while exploring age-appropriate acro skills like forward rolls, bridges, and flexibility exercises. Through creative movement and imagination, your preschooler will develop confidence, body awareness, and a love for dance that will last a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions about Year-Long Classes

What year-long classes does VPS offer?

Our year-long classes are open-enrollment dance and musical theatre programs for children ages 3 to 12, running the full September to June season. Classes are grouped into four levels so your child learns alongside peers at a similar age and stage.

How are the classes grouped by age?

There are four levels: Mini Stars (ages 3 to 4), Junior Stars (ages 5 to 7), Intermediate (ages 7 to 9), and Senior Stars (ages 8 to 12). Each level is built around what dancers are ready for at that age.

What styles are included?

Across the levels we teach ballet, hip hop, tap, acro, contemporary, and musical theatre, so your child can explore a range of styles through the year.

Do year-long students get to perform?

Yes. Every dancer takes the stage at our June Recital, and dancers ages 5 and up also perform in the VPS Nutcracker each December.

When and where do classes run?

Classes run weekly from September to June at our studio at 114 E 4th Ave #102 in Mount Pleasant and at Q7 Studios, 77 E 7th Ave, Vancouver.

Does my child need experience to enroll?

No. Year-long classes are open enrollment and welcome all levels, from first-time dancers to returning performers. Use the Class Finder to find the right level, with day, time, and price up front.

Welcome! To help keep our studio running smoothly and ensure everyone has the best experience possible, we've outlined our payment, withdrawal, and additional fee policies below.

Payment Information

To secure your child's spot, all tuition fees are due upfront.

Auto-Pay Option: For your convenience, automatic payments can be set up directly through your student portal. Please note that processing fees do apply to this option. Please email vpsfrontdesk@gmail.com to arrange Auto-Pay.
Performance Videos: $25 per family
Performance Costumes: $45 – $55 per costume

Withdrawal & Absence Policies

We understand that schedules can change and life happens. Please review our policies regarding withdrawals and missed classes:

Tuition Non-Refundable Portion: 1/3 of your total tuition fee is non-refundable.
Before October 31st: If you withdraw on or before this date, the remaining 2/3 of your tuition will be fully refunded.
After October 31st: Tuition is non-refundable after this date.
Missed Classes: Please note that no refunds or credits will be issued for classes missed due to a child's absence or sickness under any circumstance.
Studio Cancellations: If VPS needs to cancel a class unexpectedly, your account will be credited.
Medical Withdrawals: If a child must withdraw for medical reasons, please provide us with a doctor's note and reach out to us to inquire about options for a medical leave of absence.

Please Note: Recital tickets are NOT included in your tuition fees and must be purchased separately. Ticket pricing and purchasing details will be shared closer to the event date!
