Where are you located?
Our home studio and 80-seat theatre is at 114 E 4th Ave #102, Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. We also offer programs at: Mount Pleasant Community Centre (1 Kingsway), Hillcrest Community Centre (4575 Clancy Loranger Way), Renfrew Park Community Centre (2929 East 22nd Ave), Hastings Community Centre (3096 East Hastings St), Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre (990 West 59th Ave), Douglas Park Community Centre (801 West 22nd Ave), Kensington Community Centre (5175 Dumfries St), and Sunset Community Centre (6810 Main St).
Does my child need prior experience?
Not at all. We have class and program options for everyone, from absolute beginners to advanced performers. No matter your child's experience level, our goal is to help them learn, grow, and have fun.
What should students wear?
Ballet: Bodysuit, tights, ballet slippers, hair in a tight bun. Ballet skirt or tutu optional. Jazz: Black top or leotard, spandex shorts or leggings (any colour), black jazz shoes, hair up. Tap: Same as jazz, with tap shoes. Hip Hop: Comfortable fitness or dance attire, clean indoor runners. Musical Theatre: Comfortable fitness attire, black jazz shoes or clean runners. Acro: Exercise top or leotard, spandex shorts or leggings, bare feet, hair up.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
There are no refunds for term classes requested after the program start date. A doctor's note is required for medical exemptions. For VPS Company and year-long classes: if a refund is requested before the 3rd class, 1/3 of the tuition is non-refundable. For Summer Camps: 50% refund if requested in writing by June 15th; no refunds after that date. For Spring Break Camps: 50% refund if requested in writing by February 15th. All eligible refunds are subject to a $20 administration fee. No credits or refunds if programs move online.
Can I register and pay in the studio?
All registration and payment is handled online through our Dance Studio Pro portal, which keeps your spot secure. You can register at any time at app.gostudiopro.com/online/performingstars.
What should we bring to class?
Bring your child's dance shoes and have them use the washroom at home before arriving. For classes ages 8 and up that run one hour or longer, please bring a water bottle.
