What it is

The gentlest first step onto the stage

Dance With Me is where it all begins. In a bright studio with you right beside them, toddlers explore music and movement through songs, props, bubbles and play, building coordination, rhythm and confidence long before they know that's what they're doing.

It's 45 minutes a week that's as much for you as for them: a calm, joyful start to the week, a room full of other families, and the first place your little one learns that trying something new feels good.

What to expect

A typical Monday morning

We open with a gentle welcome circle, move into songs and guided movement, bring out props and instruments for free exploration, and wind down with a calm goodbye. Every week follows the same comforting rhythm. Toddlers thrive on knowing what comes next.

Led by our early-childhood instructors, the class is capped small so every family gets space and attention. Come as you are; leave a little more confident than you arrived.

Frequently Asked Questions for Toddler Dance Classes

Do I stay in the class with my child?

Yes. Dance With Me is a parent-participation class. You are on the floor together the whole time, which is exactly what makes little ones feel brave enough to try.

My toddler has never done a class before. Is that okay?

Completely. This is most children's very first class. There is no experience needed and no “right” way to do it. We move at toddler pace.

What should we wear?

Comfy clothes they can move in and bare feet or grippy socks. No dance shoes required.

What happens at the end of the year?

Every year-long class ages 3 and up performs in the VPS Recital in June. Dance With Me families are welcome to watch their little one's classmates take the stage, often the first spark of a lifelong love of performing.
